Prolozone Injections

Prolozone is an injection technique pioneered by Dr. Frank Shallenberger, MD. It involves injecting a mixture of Procaine, Vitamins, Minerals, Glucose, a very small amount of steroid (in some cases), Traumeel and ozone/oxygen mixture. The ingredients can be changed depending on the patient and the site being injected. The result is re-polarization of injured cell membranes, improved circulation, reduced inflammation and edema, improved mitochondrial function, and improved glucose and oxygen utilization. Stem cells and blast cells get what they need, circulation and membrane stability are re-established, pain is reduced, and the healing process is rejuvenated.

These injections are beneficial for painful joints, ligaments, tendons, connective tissue trigger points, scars, chronic neck and back pain, and plantar fasciitis. About 75% of chronic pain sufferers who undergo these procedures become permanently pain free, according to Dr. Shallenberger.

We utilize ultrasound imaging to assist in certain injection techniques.  This helps ensure the acccuracy of needle placement.
